Located at the very beginning, or end, of Paseo del Arte (Art Walk), the museum houses an important and internationally acclaimed collection of modern and contemporary Spanish art. It boasts works by Dalí, Miró and Juan Gris, as well as the museum’s pièce de résistance, Guernica, one of the most noteworthy pieces by painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso. It evokes the victims’ pain during the bombing of Guernica in 1937, amid the Spanish Civil War
